Russell Edwin Myers
February 24, 1933 - February 22, 2022 (Age 88)
Russell Edwin Myers, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. He was born February 24, 1933, in Adamsville to the late Russell Wilbur and Erma Marie Ethell Myers. He was a graduate of Adamsville High School and worked for Armco. He owned and operated Myers Drilling and Pump Repair and Myers Motorsports/Myers Cycle Shop. He was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church and a former member of the Elks. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army.
He is survived by his son Rusty Myers; daughter Lori Riffee; grandchildren: Jacob Riffee, Jefferson Riffee and Ryan Myers; sister Wilma Jean Gardner; brother Roger Myers: sisters in law: Betty Clapper, Karlene “Susie” Webb and Betty Myers; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Amanda (Merle) Edwards and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joy Marlene Lutz Myers; granddaughter Abigail Marie Myers; brothers: Jack Myers, Ronald Myers and Lowell Myers; sister Shirley O’Conner; and brothers in law: Jack Clapper and Edward Webb.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Friday, February 25, 2022, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will begin at 11AM on Saturday, February 26 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jon Exman officiating. Military honors will follow the service with American Legion Post #29 and VFW Post #1058.
