Ruth Hoadwonic

Ruth Hoadwonic, age 80, of RNC nursing facility passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024. Ruth was born April 30, 1944, the daughter of the late William and Ruth Hayden of Jeannette, PA. Ruth had been a resident at RNC for the past four years where she enjoyed her two days of bingo, multiple different talented singers, various game days and movie nights. She made a lot of friends, even though she would never admit it. The nurses and some aides enjoyed her sassy side. Her roommate came over the day before she passed and told me she was going to miss her laugh, so very true. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Donald Sr, her son Donald Jr.; her mother-in-law Mildred Hoadwonic and her brothers Robert and Roger Hayden. She is survived by her daughters Lorie Weirs (Mark) and Kayla Hoadwonic; her grandchildren, Cortney Shrum (Colin), Griffin and Leighton Hoadwonic and Fox and Soren Montgomery; and her siblings William Hayden (Pat), Gloria Rytel (Ed), Janice Petrosky (Carl), Wayne Hayden (Regina), Ralph Hayden, Becky Carl (John), Vickie Hayden, John Hayden (Cindy), Gail Shaw, Mike Hayden and Michelle Stout (Craig). Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave. Irwin 724-863-8900. Funeral services will be held at 8 PM following visitation in the funeral home chapel. Private entombment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the family.
