Sally L. Janos

Sally L. Janos, 87, of Youngwood, died Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was born January 3, 1935, in Youngwood, a daughter of the late William and Clarice (Miller) Crusan. Sally attended Youngwood High School and was a member of Holy Cross Church, Youngwood. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was an avid football and hockey fan. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Walter “Tut” Janos; children, Jeff Janos (Karen) and Jamie Bematre (Nathan Poole); grandchildren, Mike Frye, Randy Frye (Kolene), Jeff Janos (Amy), Jim (Kayla) Janos, Josh Janos, and Jesse Shank; great grandchildren, Katie Frye, Bryce Janos, Ella Daughtery, Hunter Frye, Bristol Janos, Delaney Janos, Colbie Frye, Jace Shank, Luka Shank, Sophie Shank and Chloe Frye; sisters, Bette Grimme and Geri Crusan; and brother, William Crusan (Marlene). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joni Lynn McClain; granddaughter, Kayla Shank; and great grandson, Evan Frye. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home, Inc., 101 S. 4th St., Youngwood, where a funeral liturgy will be held at 10 am Friday. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
