Sandra Jennings

Sandra Bishop Jennings, 70, of Mint Hill, died unexpectedly as the result of an auto accident in Monroe, NC, on September 4, 2024.
Sandra was born in Charlotte on December 16, 1953, the daughter of RC and Doris Brown. After graduation from high school, she worked at Dixie News before focusing on the more important career of being a mother. She was a lifelong resident of Charlotte. Sandra loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. She was known for her storytelling abilities, her sense of humor, and caring for others, and being a mom to all. She loved her family fiercely.
Sandra is survived by her partner of 18 years, Perry Richardson; her son Keenan Jennings; a daughter she raised as her own, Tasha Haire; her step-daughter, Alex Griggs; grandchildren: Zoe and Naudia; and a sister, Linda Luther. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother and two siblings, Donald Ray and Elizabeth.
Services will be held at 3 pm on Monday, September 9, 2024, in the mausoleum chapel at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 2:30 until the time of service.
