Sara L. Beamguard
December 22, 1930 - April 16, 2025 (Age 94)
Sara Estes Beamguard, 94, of Rock Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Mrs. Beamguard was the daughter of the late Jefferson Franklin Estes and Jessie Pridmore Estes of Hickory Grove, SC. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Henry Donald Beamguard and her brothers Madison Estes, Harold Estes and J.W. Fowler, her sisters Jeanette Richardson and Betty Estes.
Mrs. Beamguard held various jobs during her life including Efird’s Department Store, Daniel’s Grocery, RHP&F, Smith Enterprise and was owner/operator of The Magzalea Café in the Business Technology Center. Ultimately, her favorite role was homemaker and mother. She had a special love for recipes, cooking, and holiday decorating. She was a nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (Gran-Gran).
A longtime member of First Baptist Church, Mrs. Beamguard spent over 40 years caring for children in the church nursery. She was a devoted member of the Sunrisers Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Beamguard is survived by her son, Jeff Beamguard (Bonnie), daughter Iris Wilson (Don), grandchildren Anna Catherine Fogner (Andrew), Christopher Beamguard (Madison), Addison Wilson, and great-grandchildren Henry and Anna Margaret, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21 at Greene’s Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732, from 6-8pm with a celebration of life Tuesday, April 22 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, 481 Hood Center Dr, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
