Sharon Butler Jones

Sharon Butler Jones, 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

A native of Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of Jeanette Dimery Butler and the late Wade Vincent Butler. She was a 1990 graduate of Winthrop University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.

Sharon was known for her sweet and gentle nature. She had a gift for making others feel cared for, whether through a warm smile, a thoughtful word, or a simple act of kindness. Above all, Sharon loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She also had a special place in her heart for long-haired miniature dachshunds and enjoyed their companionship. They were not just pets, but cherished members of her family. Sharon enjoyed working at Travel Pro and Coats American. She also loved volunteering at her son’s school.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jason Jones; her son, Daniel Jones of Columbia, SC; her mother, Jeanette Dimery Butler; her sister, Jenny Wiramihardja (Jimmy) and her nephews, David Wiramihardja and Michael Wiramihardja. She was preceded in death by her father, Wade Vincent Butler and her brother, Warren Vincent Butler.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 11:00-12:15 pm at Saint John’s United Methodist Church, 321 S Oakland Ave, Rock Hill, SC 29730. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30 pm in the sanctuary at Saint John’s followed by burial in Grandview Memorial Park-Cherry Road.

Sharon had a passion for growing flowers. She and Jason loved revitalizing their yard with many beautiful additions and enjoyed working on this process together.
