Sharon M. Walter

Sharon Marie (Potter) Walter, 74, of Zellwood, Fla., formerly of Greensburg, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023. She was born Sept. 19, 1948, in Upper State New York. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years of marriage, Melvin G. Walter, also one brother and two sisters. Sharon worked as an executive secretary at Elliott in Jeannette, and the University of Florida Research Center, in Apopka, Fla. Her hobbies included but were not limited to collecting himstedt dolls, creating countless cross stitch pictures with such beauty and precision that is rarely seen these days, raising Shiatsu dogs and cooking for the love of her life, Melvin. Sharon was raised and remained Catholic. Her warm and welcoming personality brought people in and her love and kindness made them want to stay. Sharon loved and enjoyed her family and friends. Our family is missing her deeply. Sharon will be buried June 15, 2023, at Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. A graveside service will be at 1:45 p.m. with family.
