Shawn “Frenchie” DesLauriers
53, of Lower Burrell, passed away Wednesday January 5, 2022, surrounded by his family.
He was born in New Kensington on July 9, 1968, to Michele Santucci of New Kensington and the late Edward DesLauriers and was a lifelong resident of Lower Burrell. Shawn was a 1986 graduate of Burrell High School and member of Redemption Church, Lower Burrell.
Shawn was known for his mischievous grin, fighter spirit, and his deep love and compassion for others.
He was a beloved and respected member of the Burrell Wresting community and assisted in coaching the youth, middle school, and high school teams for 30 years. He was the proud owner and operator of TLC Green.com. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, traveling to Caribbean beaches, vacationing in Siesta Key Florida, boating on his pontoon boat, but most of all, he loved taking spontaneous adventures with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Shan Lizette Leslie DesLauriers, who he fell madly in love with in the 7th grade, son Dakota Shawn (Kelley) DesLauriers of Upper Burrell, daughter Brooke Lizette DesLauriers of Lower Burrell, and two brothers Ryan (Merrit) DesLauriers of Gibsonia and Joel DesLauriers of New Kensington and he is also survived by a loving niece and three sweet nephews.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Anthony and Elizabeth Santucci and Ethel and Henry DesLauriers.
The family would like to thank all their friends and loved ones for their ongoing love and support. They would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and other members of the medical team at Allegheny General Hospital for their outstanding care and dedication.
Friends will be received Saturday from 6-8 PM and Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM in Redemption Church, 232 Hillcrest Dr, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Burial will be private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
