Sheila Rose Printz
June 17, 1948 - July 14, 2023 (Age 75)
Sheila Rose (Petersen) Printz, a.k.a. Bubba, 75, of Greensburg, passed away holding her husband Lee’s hand Friday morning, July 14th, 2023. Sheila was born on June 17, 1948 in New Castle. Sheila was a beautiful woman inside and out, with a real zest for life. She rarely sat still, but when she did, she was sure to enjoy a long nap. Sheila’s greatest joy was raising her kids. She was a wonderful mom who was very proud of her three children, their spouses, and her six grandchildren. Sheila thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, S.C. She loved being in the sun and by the pool, working in the yard, antiquing, going to the casino, and playing cards (especially skat and screw your neighbor). Every holiday she would launch into song for the card game losers by singing ‘na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye!’. She traveled across the country from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas to Reno to Lake Tahoe participating in bowling tournaments with old friends as she made new ones. She was a real character, with a streak of mischievousness. Many pokes and prods in the home would turn into full-blown wrestling matches with her usually as the main instigator. She didn’t like to hear the words, “you can’t do that”. Sheila will be remembered for her infectious laugh and smile that would light up the room. Even when her health was declining, she still had her laugh and gaze that made everyone smile in her presence. Sheila was the daughter of the late Eugene Petersen of New Castle, PA and Norma (Joyce) Stull of Jeannette, PA. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, H Lee Printz, her three children; Michael (Suzanne) of Harrison City, Sandy (Tim) Wood and Randy (Katelyn) both of Hempfield Township, and six grandchildren; Abigail, Olivia, Samuel, Nathan, Charlee and Nolan, her brothers Mike (Pat) Petersen of Creekside, PA and Alan (Lori) Stull of Huntsville, Alabama, two sisters, Michele (Bill) Welsh of Knoxville, Tenn. and Beverly (Mark) Evangelist of Jeannette, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews, very dear friends and her two fur boys, Max and Jake. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Action for Animals Humane Society of Latrobe or to the Greensburg YMCA pool fund.
