Cumberland, MD-Shirley May Yacenech, 89, of Cumberland, MD, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 25, 1936 in Bedford County, PA, Ms. Yacenech was the daughter of the late Ira Daniel Ryan and Maude Gladys (Clites) Ryan. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: Tony Yacenech; a grandson: Andrew Joel Yacenech; her son-in-law: Mark Mitchell; and her brother: Charles “Butch” Ryan and wife, Carol. Shirley was the last surviving member of her family.
A homemaker, Shirley was a member of Central Assembly of God. She is survived by her sons: Mark Yacenech and wife Carolyn; and Mike Yacenech and wife Samantha; her daughters: Julie Mitchell, and Brenda Yacenech; and her grandchildren: Seth Yacenech, Jared Yacenech, Daniel Yacenech, Cory Mitchell, Chelsea Mitchell, and Cody Yacenech; as well as her great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held and interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
