Steven C. Giberson

Steven C. Giberson, 78, of Millersville, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his residence.

Born and raised in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles Giberson and Dorothy (Hoyer) Kinard. He was the loving husband of Phyllis (Fordney) Giberson.

Steve was a talented and accomplished bass player and piano technician whose love for music shaped his entire life. In his early years, he traveled through the Midwest with a trio, spending time in Terre Haute, Indiana, before returning to Lancaster. Upon his return, he joined the Cabaret Band at the Host Farm, where he played for 17 years and performed as a backup musician for many well-known singers and comedians. It was during his time at the Host that he met the love of his life, Phyllis. The two shared 43 wonderful years of marriage, recently celebrating their anniversary on October 23, 2025. Together, they traveled to over 25 countries, creating countless cherished memories along the way. Steve was not only a gifted musician but also a kind, joyful, and deeply caring person. He loved animals, especially his cats and the squirrels that frequented his backyard. Always smiling and warm-hearted, he was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. Steve will be missed more than words can express by his beloved wife Phyllis and all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.

Friends and family will be received from 10AM to 11AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Lampeter United Methodist Church, 1101 Village Rd., Lancaster, PA 17602. A Memorial Service will follow beginning at 11AM. Interment is being held privately at the convenience of the family.
