Susan Henry

July 13, 1952 – April 29, 2026 (Age 73)

With heavy hearts and remembrance, we announce the passing of Susan Joy Henry of Jeannette, PA, who went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2026.

Mom lived a life shaped by resilience and perseverance. She faced cancer not once, but four times, meeting each season with quiet determination. Through the ups and downs of her life, she continued forward in her own way, carrying both strength and vulnerability along the journey. She held onto her faith in God, finding comfort in His presence and peace in His promises. In difficult moments and in time of reflection, that faith remained a steady place she could return to.

She shared a unique, yet lifelong connection with her children and family. While her journey was not without its complexities, she remained a part of their lives. Her memory will stay with them in ways that are personal and meaningful.

Mom found enjoyment in cats, in singing, in Disney cartoons, and in reading her Bible. Those who knew her remember her through the moments they shared – both big and small.

As we say goodbye, we hold onto the quiet peace found in God’s word: “Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.” ( Isaiah 57:2) Mom is now at peace, free from cancer and its pain, and resting in God’s care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Jeanne Henry and her sister-in-law, Roxanne. She is survived by her two children Will Redish of Latrobe, PA and Becky Dennis and her husband, Curt of Pocomoke City, MD; 5 grandchildren, Elena Redish and Gavin, Hayley, Aliza, and Maximus Dennis; two brothers, Mike Henry and Jim Henry and his wife, Kathy; a sister, Dianne Smith, and her husband, Ed, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be held at Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Hempfield Township. Her Celebration of Life service will be on May 15, 2026 at Bethany Church, 2415 Laveen Street in Latrobe at 6pm. The family welcomes prayers and quiet remembrance during this time.
