Susan M. Camarote

Susan M. Camarote, 82, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born November 28, 1943, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Mary Patton Murphy. Susan dedicated her life to her family. She and her late husband, Gerald, a long-distance truck driver, visited 48 states and Mexico, as she accompanied him. She was an avid game player, loved the outdoors, and loved her Steelers. She attended many activities that her family members were involved in. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by all of her siblings. Susan is survived by three sons: Gerald T. Camarote, Jr., of Greensburg, David (Joi) Camarote, of Jeannette, and Mark (Cam) Camarote, of Philadelphia; two daughters: Lisa (Donald Szarmach) Camarote Matassa, of Verona, and Pamela (Bryan) Damico, of Export; seven grandchildren: Joshua (Marissa) Camarote, Marissa (Nick) Plavchak, Cory (Domenica) Camarote, Amanda Camarote, Anna Damico, Anthony Damico, and Keira Camarote; five great-grandchildren: Axel, William, Noah, Josie, and “Baby Nugget”. Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St. Greensburg. A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
