Thelma Louise Bradley
November 26, 1935 - February 23, 2025 (Age 89)
Thelma Louise Bradley (Crump), 89, of Oak Island, NC, passed away peacefully on February 23, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Mecklenburg County, NC, to the late Clifford Crump and Ollie Presson Crump, Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was a testament to her unwavering faith and deep love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Bradley, and now rejoins him in eternal peace.
Louise is survived by her three children: Charles Bradley (Tracy), Danny Bradley (Lydia), and Helen Bradley. She cherished her grandchildren, Zachary Bradley (Shauna), Beth Cathey (Teante), Brian Bradley, Alyssa Burr and Shelby Burr, and was a proud great-grandmother to Amari Wilkins.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers Haywood Crump, Bill Crump, and Jeff Crump, as well as her sisters Bernice Helms and Barbara Presson.
Louise is survived by her brother John Crump (Phyllis) and her sisters Bessie Jane Rushing, Ruth Belk, Pauline Edwards, Joyce Harris (Steve), and Ann Harris (Norfleet).
Her days were filled with joy, whether spending time with her family or in prayer. Louise’s gentle spirit and steadfast devotion to the Lord were a light to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will continue to inspire those she touched.
A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held at Wilson Grove Baptist Church on Thursday, February 27, receiving family and friends beginning at 11am and service to follow at 12pm. Louise will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227, immediately following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Bolivia or to Wilson Grove Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child.
