Thelma W. Ledford

Gaffney, SC – Thelma White Ledford, 89, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Rock Hill.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-1:45 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill. Pastor Robert Wells will officiate the service with Mr. Rodney White assisting.

Born in Cherokee Falls, SC, Thelma was the daughter of the late James Ed White and the late Lillian Gordon White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Ledford and her son, Michael Ledford; her siblings, Mae Dell Shackelford, James White, Roy White, Doris White, Floyd White, Sr., and Glenn White.

Thelma was retired from Hamrick’s after serving as a Distribution Supervisor with more than 35 years of service. She was a dedicated woman of God and a member of New Harvest Church of God in Gaffney, SC where she sang in the choir. She consistently prayed for everyone in her life. Thelma was a loving mother and grandmother and was an excellent cook. She always ended conversations with “I love you, baby” and she adored her fur babies, Ricky and Lucy.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheila Mills (Tim); her son, Robert D. Ledford (Treva); her 4 grandchildren, Mike Ledford, John Mills, Tim L. Mills, and Hannah Mills; and her niece, Joann Lisenby (Thomas).
