Theodore Reed
May 1, 1926 - February 21, 2024 (Age 97)
Theodore W. Reed, 97, of Boyertown; formerly of Sanatoga, widower of Betty J. (Whiteman) Reed with whom he was married to for over fifty years, passed away on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at his residence.
Born in West Lawn, PA, he was a son of the late Stanley Reed and the late Violet (Gehris) Reed.
Ted worked in rubber calendering at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Company till its closing and was a wind-up man at Occidental Chemical Company retiring in 1988.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Ted was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pottstown for over fifty years.
He was a life member of Sanatoga Fire Company and Local #336 United Rubber Workers retiree club.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Luckenbach, Boyertown, Susann wife of Ronald Webber, North Port, FL; a sister, Joan Hilt, Manheim, PA; a brother-in-law, John Gehris, Wyomissing; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Barry Reed, four brothers, Gerald, George, Richard and Russell Reed, and a sister, Mary Lou Gehris.
A graveside service will be private. Burial will be private in Highland Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown, PA.
