Theresa H. "Terri" Day, age 51, of Manor, died on Sunday, December 22, 2024 in her home. She was born on January 2, 1973 in Pittsburgh, to William and Henrietta (Watkins) Lang of Trafford.
Terri was devoted to caring for her family and patients throughout her long nursing career. She attended the West Penn School of Nursing and earned her BSN from Waynesburg University. Terri's career started at Monsour Medical Center. She then worked as a Neuro ICU nurse at Shadyside Hospital and in ICU at Westmoreland Hospital. Most recently Terri was a critical care nurse and the nurse manager of hospital operations at AHN Forbes Regional Hospital, where she was beloved by the whole staff. She was an accomplished nurse who was the recipient of numerous awards including the Beacon, Cameo Caring, Legacy, and most recently, the Daisy Nurse Leader award. Terri was a wonderful mother, and loving daughter, sister, and aunt.
In addition to her parents, Terri is survived by her two sons, Anthony M. Day and William J. "Billy" (fiancee Jaidlynne South) Day; sister, Christine McCarthy; brother, Joseph (Jenn) Lang; nephews and niece, Matthew McCarthy and Jacob, Anna, and Blake Lang; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Ellen Lang and maternal grandparents, Henry and Cecelia Watkins.
Friends will be received Sunday, December 29 from 2-6 PM at the Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, PO Box 465, Harrison City, 724-744-2721, where a blessing service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, December 30. Terri's service of committal and burial at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park will be private for her immediate family.
