KEYSER, WV - Thomas Charles “Tom” Henry of Keyser passed away on May 11, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a lengthy battle with diabetes and heart disease. Tom was a member of Grace Methodist Church and Church of the Assumption. Born February 10, 1950 in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Tom was the son of Jack and Genevieve (Thomas) Henry who preceded him in death. Tom’s brothers, George and Jim Henry also preceded him in death.
Surviving him are his wife, Kathy (Amato) Henry of Keyser, his sons, Shawn Henry (Mary Cate) of Monrovia, Maryland, Jeffrey Henry (Jenna) of Littlestown, Pennsylvania and Joleen Reed of Littlestown, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are the five little Henrys, the lights of Pap-Pap’s heart; Jackson Christopher, Connor Charles, Thomas “Tommy” Cork, Cooper Matthew and Harper Elizabeth Henry. Survivors include nephews and nieces, Mike Henry and Tammy Shockey, Bret Ross, Wendy Bynum, Raine Lambert, Dan Smith, David Smith, and Jennifer Hoffman. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Susie Henry, Pat Sabia, and Sandy Ray and brother-in-law, Bill Smith. He also had several cousins on both sides of the family.
Tom was a 1968 graduate of Keyser High School and a 1972 graduate of Tri-State Beauty Academy. He worked as the owner-operator of TC Originals, Hairstylist, in Keyser from 1974 until retiring in May 2011. He had many long term patrons and formed close relationships with them. They were like his family. He greatly missed all those patrons who went before him. He and Kathy married in October 1977 and had two sons who were raised on C Street in Keyser, where their backyard was a “Paradise” due to Tom’s talent for gardening and landscaping. Tom was a great father and loved his kids and grandkids with all his heart. He will be deeply missed by all. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Zalzal, Joy, Ann and Destiny for caring for Tom during his illness. Thanks also to the employees at Potomac Valley Hospital for their care.
