Thomas Kovatto

Thomas M. Kovatto, 66, of Douglassville, PA, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Born in Pottstown, PA, on March 1, 1958, Tom was the son of the late Ross T. Kovatto and the late MaryAnna (Young) Kovatto.

Tom worked at Columbia Boiler Company in Pottstown for nearly 40 years until Huntington’s Disease prevented him from reaching retirement.

Tommy is survived by his spouse, Timothy Raub; his daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Aaron Blackwell; his grandchildren, Leah, Jacob, and Ryan; his sisters, Melissa (Rich) Schul and Barbara Houck; the mother of his children, Mary (Barry) Kovatto; his father-in-law, Ernest Raub; his brothers-in-law, Russell (Kellie), Richard, and David; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his companion, Harry the cat. In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his son, Jon Kovatto, and his mother-in-law, Dorothea Raub.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512. A Celebration of Life Service will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Dr. Marvin A. Marsh and Reverend Dr. Marcia B. Bailey. Immediately following the service, all are welcome to attend a gathering with light refreshments to share happy and funny memories.

Interment will be private at Highland Memorial Park at a later date.
