Van Curtis Fowler, 81, of Charlotte, NC passed on Monday, June 15, 2026. Van was born on December 28, 1944 to Fred and Thelma Fowler in Charlotte, NC.
Van enlisted into the United States Army on May 7, 1966. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and officially Honorably discharged on May 6, 1972.
Van loved fishing, building model ships and bird houses during his leisure time.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Van will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Roseboro's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road Charlotte, NC 28269. The Service will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens 8901 Lawyers Road Charlotte, NC 28227 in The Garden of Faith section where he will be laid to rest near his two sons, Scott Dwayne Fowler and Tony Van Fowler.
Left to cherish his memory is his memory; son & dau-in-law, Randy Scott Fowler (Kelly) of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Tony Fowler, Zachary Fowler, and Jade Fowler; brother, Freddie “Sonny” Fowler (Joann) and a host of other relatives and friends.
