Vickie Jo Fink, age 76, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Vickie was born on July 30, 1948, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Charles and Dollie Starnes. She graduated in 1966 from Garinger High School and worked as an office manager at Standard Trucking Company and Carolina Site Concepts. In 1999, she married the love of her life, Thomas Fink, and became a proud stepmother to Brian and Pat Fink.
Vickie was a kind, selfless and caring person who will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. She would always put the needs of her family in front of her own. Although Vickie was not one to accept help, she would gladly provide care, concern, or assistance whenever any person needed it. She cherished her family and was so proud to be "Nanny" to her grandchildren. She loved any opportunity to go fishing or play putt-putt with her family. Vickie was devoted to her dogs and spoiled both Wrinkles and Shadow. She had such a loving spirit that was felt by all around her.
In addition to her parents, Vickie was predeceased by her brother, "Little Tommy" Thomas Starnes and her beloved dog, Wrinkles.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Thomas Fink; her stepsons, Brian (Robin) Fink and Pat Fink; grandchildren, Briann (Owen) McDowell, Bailey Fink, Christian Fink, and Jaden Fink; brother, Dickie (Brenda) Starnes; sister, Cindy Hudson; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Vickie will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
