Victor Nick "Sonny" Peluso
Age 80 of Monroeville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Barbara S. (Cohen) Peluso. Loving father of Kenneth (Amy) Peluso and Vicci Morris. Devoted fiancé to Mary Ann Jaskulski. Proud grandfather of Brandon (Chavonne) Peluso and Samuel (fiancé, Carianne) Morris. Also survived by his sister, Patricia (the late Stan) Crawford; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Victor S. and Florence (Greico) Peluso, Sr.; and brother, Jerry Peluso.
Vic honorably served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and later became a recruiter, of which he was very proud. Following his military service, he began his career with Sears Roebuck & Co., working in various departments as a salesman and retiring after more than 35 years of service. While in his retirement, he worked for Diamond Exteriors and AirPro. Vic was a former member of St. Colman Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and transporter for Forbes Hospital. In his free time, he could often be found on the greens playing golf with his friends and was a true Steelers fanatic.
Friends will be received Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 16, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas A'Becket Church - Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. (Everyone please meet at church). Entombment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
