Victoria (Gasparato) August, 91, of Jeannette, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born February 2, 1930, in Central City, Pa., a daughter of the late Angelo and Louise Brentigani Gasparato. Victoria was a veteran having served with the US Airforce during the Korean War. Prior to her retirement Victoria was a LPN and worked at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, and then Jeannette District Memorial Hospital, retiring with 25 years of service.
In addition to her parents Victoria was predeceased by her siblings, Dominick and John Gasparato, Clara Sartori, and Janet Lawson.
She is survived by her children, Dave August (JoAnn), Steve August (Kellie), Margaret Lock (Marty), Andy August, and Linda Fetchero (Jim); 11 grandchildren, Gabe, Jesse (Jennie), Dylan (Nikki), Matt (Kaylee), Seth, Melanie (Will), Adam, Brendan, Stephanie (Johnny), Vincent, and Kara; great grandchildren, Daisy, Elsie, Lucy, Julian, Elijah, Caroline, Norah, and a great grandson due in August; a sister Regina Rosky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. Funeral services and interment in the Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Twp., were private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeannette Assembly of God (Missions), 246 Pleasant Valley Rd., Jeannette PA 15644, or the Jeannette Public Library, 500 Magee Ave., Jeannette PA. 15644.
