Vincent Thomas Colosimo

Vincent Thomas Colosimo, 89, of Greensburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 17, 2023. Vince was born in Boyers, PA in 1934, to Raffaele and Antonetti Vitale Colosimo. He graduated from Grove City High School in 1952. He later enlisted in the US Army for a two-year tour of duty. During that time, he met and later married Carolyn Thompson Colosimo on June 8, 1957, in Richmond, VA. Their loving commitment lasted more than 66 years. In 1960 he graduated with honors from Youngstown State University. Later that summer, he started what would be his 30-year career with the Internal Revenue Service. After retirement he had his own in-home tax prep business for several years. He loved vegetable gardening, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, warm vacation destinations, motorcycle rides (back in the day) and his family. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Vince is survived by loving wife, Carolyn; three children, Vincent Jr. of Lake Ridge, VA, Sandra Griebel (Douglas) of Manhattan, NY, and Lisa Arnold (Thomas Jr.) of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Cara Arnold, Thomas Arnold III, Samantha Hall (Zachary), and Jackson Griebel; sister, Donece Janiak (Frank); brother, Francis; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11:00 AM Monday in the funeral home with Deacon William Hisker officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, where full military honors will be accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard.
