Violet W. Caudle Thompson

Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Violet W. Thompson, 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Forward Church of God, with Rev. Gil Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road.
Born in Clover, SC, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late James Roland Williams and the late Viola Strickland Williams. She was also preceded in death by both of her husbands, Carl Eric Caudle and Joseph N. Thompson, Jr.; her granddaughters, Tonya Sue Self and Hayley Elizabeth Caudle; her brother, Jimmy Williams; and her sisters, Dorothy Carter and Elaine Trull. She was a homemaker and a very loving mother and friend. She enjoyed going to yard sales, fishing, traveling, and was very thrifty. She was a member of Forward Church of God.
Surviving are her children: David Caudle, Steve (Jane) Caudle, Brenda (Harvey) Self, Terry (Terry) Caudle, Randy Caudle, Darryl Caudle, Tony Lee (Laurie) Caudle, Danny (Vickie) Thompson, Gerald (Tammy) Thompson and Brian (Lauran) Thompson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Bryant, Genny Cook and Debbie Beacham.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Thompson’s name to Forward Church of God, 1599 Glasscock Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
