Virgil C. Reynolds Jr.

Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Virgil C. Reynolds, Jr., 93, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 2:00-3:15 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

A native of Sumter, SC, Mr. Reynolds was the son of the late Virgil C. Reynolds, Sr. and Blanche Griffin Reynolds. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr. Reynolds was a Master Mason in Lodge 111 and a member of the Hejaz Shrine Club. He worked for Pepsi, Co for 19 years and retired as a machinist in the automotive industry. Mr. Reynolds was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others. He and his wife owned a neighborhood store for a number of years. He loved tinkering with cars and watching NASCAR. He was the widower of Margaret Giles Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his sons, Tony Reynolds (Catie) of Clover and Mark G. Reynolds (Denise) of Rock Hill; and two granddaughters who he adored, Leah Reynolds and Alison Reynolds. He is also survived by his sisters, Maxine Furr, Gloria Williams (Johnny) and Joanne Smith (Eddie). In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas Reynolds, Jimmy Reynolds and Jerry Reynolds.
