W. Joann Phillips
October 22, 1936 – November 5, 2026 (Age 90)
Joann Phillips, 90, of Bedford, formerly of Schellsburg, Pennsylvania passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
Joann was born in Alum Bank on October 22, 1936, daughter of the late Bruce and Hilda (Heidorn) Carson.
On October 22, 1954, she married her husband John W. Phillips, who preceded her in death on November 26, 2012.
She is survived by son- Douglas J. Phillips, of Rehoboth, DE; daughter- Sheri D. widow of Mike Brady, of Friedens; two grandchildren: JJ (Sonya) and Sam; two great-grandchildren: Adalynn and Gunner, and special friend Marvin Roffman, Rehoboth, DE. Joann is preceded in death by sister Jane Bryson.
Joann was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed camping, square dancing, and quilting. She worked at Shawnee State Park.
A viewing will be held Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 2-5 PM and on Monday, November 9, 2026 from 10-11 at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Schellsburg.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 09, 2026, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes.
Entombment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford, PA.
