Walter Eugene Kirk, Age 85, of Columbus OH, passed away on December 27, 2023. He was born to the late Walter and Beulah Kirk on May 27, 1938.
Gene graduated from Mingo county schools in May of 1957, shortly after he joined the Navy , where he was Honorably Discharged in 1964.Following his service from the Navy he went to work for Owens Illinois (Technaglass), where he later retired from Technaglass with over 40+ years of service.
Gene is proceeded in death by parents, Walter and Beulah Kirk; two brothers, Billie Kirk and Arthur (Art) Kirk; sister, Ireda (Tootsie) Marcum, and grandson, James (JJ) Kirk.
He is survived by wife of 61 years, 8 months and 4 days, Flora (Flo) Kirk; sister, Virginia Parsley; daughter, Beulah Kirk; son, Roger Kirk, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, additional family and friends.
Friends and Family may call on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10AM-12PM, services starting at 12PM at the MYERS-WOODYARD Funeral Home, 587 Main St., Groveport, OH 43125. Interment will follow to Franklin Hills Cemetery.
