Wanda R. Ray, age 96, of Zanesville, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at Altercare of Somerset.
She was born Friday, April 2, 1926, in Zanesville, the daughter of Charles E. McCoid and Mary E. (Tompkin) McCoid. She was married August 26, 1961, to Carl C. "Chet" Ray who preceded her in death on July 19, 2008.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and retired from Greif Brothers in Zanesville.
Wanda is survived by one son, Gary A. Minner, of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Kristina (Mike) Agin, of Zanesville and Sean Minner of AZ, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Rebecca S. Minner, five sisters, Mary Parsons, Patricia Pierce, Dorothy Lemmon, Margaret Roberts and Louise Kimble and two brothers, Francis McCoid and James McCoid.
Family may gather from 12PM to 1PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Hillis Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., Zanesville. A funeral service will be held 1PM on Tuesday, with Fr. J.P Sullivan officiating. Burial will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Zanesville.
