Wayne “Frank” Westcott, 65 of Zanesville, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on August 28, 2024, at Genesis Hospital.
He was born on February 16, 1959, son of the late Wayne Lee Westcott and Sharon (Alexander) Andrews. Frank was a veteran of the United States Army and National Guard. He owned and operated Westcott Construction for over 30 years and later built pole barns for Higgin’s Lumber. Frank loved to bowl and go golfing with his good friend, Ray Norman. In his spare time, he enjoyed building his War Memorial Models out of clay and mud. Above all, he loved spending time and playing with his special buddy and nephew, Jaxson.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sue (Dilts) Westcott; 3 children: Deanna “Marea” (Correy) Stewart, Jason Mills, Chad Mills; 3 grandchildren: Austin, Alley, Keiana; 2 great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Scarlett; special great-nephew, Jaxson Dilts; siblings: Sharon “Becky” Westcott, Kermit (Lisa) Westcott, Tammy Illing, Tina Novaria, Timmy (Laura) Westcott; stepsisters, Terri (Pat) Lichtner, Patty (Donnie) Miller; stepbrothers, Charlie Andrews, Christopher Anderson; special friends, Ray Norman, Jay Marshall; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his son, Jr. Mills; sister, Diane Elaine Westcott ;uncles, Gary L. Alexander, Henry Sorenson, Francis Alexander; aunts, Gertrude Burnett; foster-sister, Mary Jane Alexander Hoffer, Linda L. (Randles) Alexander and Rev. Ellen Sorenson; grandparents, Earl and Bonnie Westcott; great-grandparents, mother in law, Helen Dilts; and father-in-law, William Dilts.
Calling hours will be held on Monday September 2, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Ronnie Spring officiating. Full military honors will be presented by The United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
