Wiley "Sonny" Logan Lyon Jr., 79, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Sonny was born July 25, 1943 to Wiley Sr and Nolie Mae Lyon in Granville county, North Carolina. Sonny graduated from NC State University and then went to work for Swift Premium Packing Company in Columbia, SC. He transferred to Charlotte, NC where he met the love of his life, Marian McCray (Lyon). The following year they opened a restaurant, "Hog Heaven BBQ" which was loved and known in the Charlotte Metro Area. Sonny was predeceased by his wife, Marian Lyon, his parents, and his sister Betsy Watson. He is survived by his daughters, Noel Maness and Teresa Randall (Kelly); his grandchildren, Casey Maness (Brittany), Cameron Thomason (Worth), Shelby Long (Daryl), Austin Randall, Madalynn Randall; and niece, Courtney Wilson (David); his nephew, Bryant "Logan" Watson; and extended family members. Interment will be private at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.
