William "Bill" Albert Watson
June 27, 1931 - November 29, 2021 (Age 90)
William "Bill" Albert Watson, 90 of Zanesville died at 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville under hospice care.
He was born June 27, 1931 in Zanesville the son of William G. Watson and Rose Albert Watson.
Bill graduated from Zanesville High School and attended Muskingum College for two years before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps & serving his country during the Korean War.
He worked most of his life in the Hydraulic Fluid business and becoming International Salesman & Vice President for the Robert Bosch Fluid Power Company and also owned and served as President of RVA in Zanesville. He was a past member of the Zanesville Jaycees, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, United Way, YMCA, lifetime member of the VFW Post 1058, also on the Board of Good Samaritan Hospital, a current member of the Zanesville Country Club having served on the board three different occasions, as well as serving as President. Bill enjoyed golfing, woodworking, working with stained glass, exercising, and especially enjoyed spending time with family & friends.
He is survived by his wife Patricia "Pat" J. Hosey Watson; three daughters, Katrina "Trina" L. Vandegriff, Pamela "Pam" J. (David) Page and Cyntha "Cindy" S. (Mark) Nauer; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Bettie Raymond; a brother-in-law, Bud (Kathy) Hosey; numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, John Watson; a sister, Rose Marie Morris and two sisters-in-law, Linda Hosey and Patricia S. Hosey.
Visitation will be held from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Bryan &
Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 4, 2021. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park.
