William A. Gaskill

William A. Gaskill, 91, of Westmoreland City, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, in Murrysville. He was born January 22, 1935, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Otto and Leah (DeLong) Gaskill Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise (Hewel) Gaskill, in 2020; brothers, Otto Gaskill Jr. and Charles “Tott” Gaskill; and sisters, Margaret Kegg and Elizabeth Burnsworth. William was a proud United States Air Force veteran and was a former member of the Manor American Legion. He will be remembered for his service to his country, his devotion to his family, and the many lives he touched throughout his years. He is survived by his daughter, Ginger Gritzo of Sandia Park, New Mexico; stepdaughters, Rebecca Gettemy and Catherine Overly, both of Greensburg; stepsons, David Oliver of the Poconos and Daniel Oliver of Greensburg; half-brothers, Keith, Duane, Dwight, and Leroy Gaskill; half-sister, Karen Thomas; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. at Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, PA 15642. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park.
