William Emerick

William C. Emerick, 81, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday January 4, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1943, in Greensburg, the son of the late Paul and Marie (Houck) Emerick. Prior to retirement, Bill worked as a Painter for the Mellon Family at the Rolling Rock Farms. He was a member of the SNPJ 223 Club, enjoyed being outdoors fishing and loved to listen to music and dance. He also enjoyed sitting out on the back porch smoking his cigars as well as feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. Above all, Bill loved to spend time with his family and friends. The most important thing to him was his family. He will be loved and remembered by his, his daughters, Zina Ganz, and her husband Marc, of Norton, Oh. and Corie Dugan, and her husband, Bob, of Greensburg; his grandchildren, Jocelyn Lund, and her husband Jon, Travis Smith, and his wife, Alisha, Rachel Baer, and her husband, Maverick, and Kyle Dugan, and fiancé, Chase; his numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, George Emerick, and his wife, Linda. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol (Rowan) Emerick and his siblings, Paul Emerick, Evelyn Mazurek and Shirley Wallet. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wed. Jan. 8, from 6-8 PM, in the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc. 101 S 4th Street, Youngwood. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
