William Ernest Lamping
December 2, 1946 - January 19, 2024 (Age 77)
William (Bill) Lamping, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2024. He was a sergeant in the US Marine Corps and suffered from many diseases attributed from exposure to Agent Orange.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis H Lamping; beloved mother Ruth M Lamping-Roberts; wonderful step-father, Carl Roberts and great grandson, Keegan William Harper.
Survived by his loving wife of 57 years and love of his life, Lydia (Ball) Lamping; daughter, Terri (Gary) Harper; son, Brandon (Michelle) Lamping; grandchildren, Cody (Lindsay) Harper, Morgan (Wayne) Lanum, Evan Lamping, and Xander Lamping; great grandchildren, Nora Lanum, Jackson Lanum, Kaden Harper and Grayson Harper; brother, Dick (JoLynn) Lamping; In Laws, Delores, Mavis, Noraeen and Bob, Emerson and Judy, the Colvin Family and many other loving family members and friends.
Bill worked for Nationwide Insurance and enjoyed raising Quarter Horses, German Shorthair Pointers, and Beagles. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt with his good friends Bob Copeland and Dana Buell, among others.
He was a proud member of Genoa Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd, Westerville, OH 43082 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens in Westerville.
