William Huffman

William Patrick Michael Huffman, age 23, of Canal Winchester, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 27, 2021 at his residence. Born January 14, 1998, he grew up with his Ma and Pa, and was a 2016 graduate of Pickerington Central High School and Fairfield Career Center. He joined the U.S. Army in August, 2017 and served until January, 2020. Since then he has been taking classes through the VA and has helped take care of his Ma and great-grandfather. He was adventurous, and enjoyed riding dirt bikes, bow hunting, and taking pictures of nature. His huge personality could make everyone around him smile. He loved his nieces and nephews, enjoyed cooking, and was always down to try new things.

William is survived by his “Ma”, Susan Huffman; father, Jeremy Huffman; sisters, Tara Huffman, Tanya (Chris) Lutz, Kayla (Justin) Norman; great-grandfather, Victor Tackett; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Isabelle, Michael, Landon, Conner, Aliyana, Liliahna, Cohen, and Teagan; and his dog, Zoe, which he got after leaving the army.

He was preceded in death by his “Pa”, Gerald Huffman; and great-grandmother, Lou Tackett.

Friends and family may visit 10 am to 1 pm Wednesday, September 1 at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Sara Davis officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
