William Sweazy

December 6, 1961 - November 9, 2025 (Age 63)

William A. Sweazy Jr., age 63, passed away on November 9th, 2025 surrounded by his wife and kids.

Billy was born on December 6th, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio to William and Sharon Sweazy. He grew up in Columbus and graduated from Wehrle High School in 1980.

He will be remembered for his love of cars. He was known for saying “Party Time”, “Making Memories”, and “Ain’t Nothing but a Thing.” Anything below 90 degrees was freezing.

William is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandra Sweazy; sons, William Sweazy, Randal Sweazy, and Travis Sweazy; mother, Sharon Sweazy; siblings, Cheryl (Jay) Young and Daryl (Jeri) Sweazy; niece, Alicia (David); nephews, Jason, Jonathan, Christopher, Charles, and Jerry; sister-in-law Carol (James); special kids, Dylan (Monica), Tyler, and Jonathan, along with many more friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his father William Sweazy Sr. and nephew Daryl Sweazy Jr.

A viewing will be held on November 20th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. A second viewing will be held the following day on November 21st from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a service starting at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. After interment, the family welcomes loved ones to come back to the funeral home for a luncheon from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Billy to attend and share memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Living in Family Environments (LIFE), at 142 North High St. Gahanna, OH 43230, in honor of Billy.
