Willie Mae Horne
February 23, 1937 - April 19, 2022 (Age 85)
Willie Mae Horne was born to General Thompkins and Susie Willis Thompkins on February 23, 1937 in Albany, Georgia. She moved to Painesville, Ohio as a child and settled in Canton, Ohio in 1963. She married Timothy Lee Horne Sr. on September 4, 1954. They were married for fifty-five years, and were parents to ten children, before his passing in 2010.
Mrs. Horne received Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Nebo United Holy Church since 1963 where she served as a pianist, trustee, and deaconess.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Nellie Mae Haynes, Lillian Hughes, and Rosie Huffaker; two brothers, JC Thompkins and General Thompkins Jr.; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Davis and Timothann Horne; three grandchildren, Brian Horne, Jr., Arielle Biggums, and Tullis White.
Mrs. Horne is survived by two daughters, Sharon Dixon (Albert) and Vicki Horne; six sons, Timothy Horne, Jr., Tullis Horne, Brian Horne, Sr. (Dianna), Mark Horne (Bonnie), Alex Horne, and Angelo Horne as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Catherine Jenkins.
Family and friends may visit Sherrick Road Church Of God, 1121 Sherrick Rd SE, Canton, OH 44707, on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM. Service will follow at 11AM.
