Wilma Buchanan

Wilma J. (Potiseck) Buchanan, 90, of Latrobe, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Mountain View Memory Care, Greensburg.

Born September 6, 1934, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank J. Potiseck and Florence A. (Cunningham) Potiseck.

Wilma was a member of Latrobe Community Ministries. She was a graduate of the former Sewickley High School class of 1952 and loved traveling and animals, especially dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Buchanan, and a son-in-law, Richard “Bones” Ponko.

Wilma is survived by one son, Jeffrey A. Buchanan and his wife, Janelle, of Greensburg; two daughters, Cindy L. Marks and her husband, James, of Ijamsville, MD, and Kate L. Ponko of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Chad Buchanan (Ella), Ashley Buchanan, Sean Buchanan (Julia), Christine Jones (Scott), Paul Marks and Kamlyn Ponko, and three great-grandchildren, Avery Buchanan, Cayden Buchanan and Kaylee Dusetzina.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mountain View Memory Care, especially Holly and Krista, for all their kindness and compassionate care.

There were no public visitations or services. Private interment was at Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
