Yvonne Mason
March 16, 1936 - June 3, 2022 (Age 86)
Yvonne Loucarther Mason, 86, of Cumberland, MD, went to be with her Savior and to reunite with her precious granddaughter: Darla on Friday, June 3, 2022 at her home after a brief battle with a brain tumor.
Yvonne was born March 16, 1936 to the late John Herman Keefer and Annie Myrtle (Browning) Keefer in Chaneysville, PA. She was also preceded in death by a brother, three sisters and a granddaughter, Darla Emerick.
Mother attended a one room schoolhouse in Chaneysville along with her siblings. Later in life she worked at the Star restaurant in Cumberland and was a caregiver for many families over the years. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church where she met many kind friends. She loved shopping, feeding the birds, and going for car rides around the countryside where she grew up.
She is survived her daughters: Cathy Green, Shirley Wilkinson, and Debra Wright and a sister, Harriett Trail. Her grandchildren: Krystal Wagoner (Nathaniel), Brandon Wright (Ashley), and Emily Jones, and five great-grandchildren: Adela, JackLyn, Aiden, JoAnna, and Kylynne. She also leaves behind a beloved cat, Sammi; and a special friend, Angie Darrah.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
