Marian E. Detar

Marian E. Detar, 75, of Rillton, passed away Tuesday , Feb. 3, 2026 , in AHN West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, surrounded by her family . She was born July 7, 1950, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Fix) Rothwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Detar in 2023, and two brothers, Bob Rothwell and Joe Rothwell.

Prior to her retirement, Marian was a sales clerk, having worked at the Hills Department Store in North Huntington, for more than 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting and doing her puzzle books. She loved spending time with her family, especially camping trips with the grandkids.

Marian is survived by her two daughters, Tina (Michael) Hensel, of Rillton, and Christine (Mark) Guerriero, of Gibsonia; five special grandchildren, Ashlynn, Paige, Brittany, Zachary and Amy; five special great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Marian will be dearly missed by her family friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
