Betty D. (Lambert) Reed, 82, of Pleasant City, passed away Thursday (January 20, 2022) at her daughter’s home.
She was born February 26, 1939 in McDowell County, WV, daughter of the late William Kelly and Asie (England) Lambert.
Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard Reed whom she married January 28, 1956 and passed away August 30, 2007; siblings, Violet “Sis”, Raymond “Bob”, Faye, Ralph, Ronnie, Carol Sue, Dan, Alice, a sister in law Joann, grandson Richard Scott Reed; granddaughter Jennifer Annette Carpenter.
She is survived by two sons, Richard J. “Rick” (Drema)Reed and Jonathan Edward (Ginger) Reed, both of Pleasant City; two daughters, Robin A. (Dallas) Ashby of Pleasant City and Sandra( James) “Bo” Roy of Elizabeth WV; one brother, Eddie (Ann) Lambert of WV; a brother in law Herschel Hatfield of Texas; a sister in law Loretta, of Buffalo, 13 grandchildren ,17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great great granchildren
Visitation will be held Sunday January 23, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Black-Epperson Funeral Home in Byesville,and one hour prior to funeral services scheduled for Monday at 1:00 from the funeral home. Burial will follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens. Pastor Stephen Hannum will officiate.
