Hazel M. Haser

Hazel M. Haser, 86 of Zanesville, died at 2:25 AM, Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born Monday, July 20, 1936, in Blue Rock, the daughter of Howard Downing and Lucy (Bailey) Downing. She married Ronald A. Haser on Monday, June 9, 1952, and was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church.
She retired from United Technologies with over 30 years of service. Hazel enjoyed word search puzzles, sitting on her porch swing, trips to Amish Country and Hocking Hills. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Hazel is survived by one daughter, Sandra Haser; two sons, Richard "Rick" (Sally) Haser and Frank (Karin) Haser; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; two brothers, Howard Downing and Jim (Bev) Downing; two sisters, Dorothy Morrow and Bonnie (Felix) Angelo and many nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Haser who died March 13, 2005; her son, Terry E. Haser; an infant grandson and two sisters, Freda Meadows and Irene Jenkins.
Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, and one hour prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Entombment will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
