James C. Smith

James Smith, age 85, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022. He was born August 3, 1936, in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Jay B. and Virginia Smith. James is survived by daughters; Sheryl Lynn McClaim, Kimberly Sue Smith, Karen Renee Green, and Pamela Denise Burrows, grandchildren; Veronica, Andrea -Kyle, Matthew, Samantha, Matthew, Jada, Mariah, Madison, Tyler, Alexis-Jay Wiley, Avery, Jaxon, Karrisa, Austin, Brystol, Jada Devault, Harlie Lynn, Cayden, Joe, Heather, Summer and Joe, furry friends; Princess and Lucy, his beloved beagles, along with other dear family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, his loving wife Doris Evelyn Smith, and daughter; Sandra Kay Jordan. James loved to talk on CB Radio with his wife, they were known as 8 Ball and Sweet pea on the air. He loved to play pool with his brother-in-law, Kenneth Hogan. He enjoyed being outside and adored his tomatoes plants, which people recall as the best! James was always around his family and spending quality time with his grandchildren and all of his friends. He was a bright presence in peoples, lives and will be missed deeply. Family will receive friends Friday April 8, 2022, from 10AM-12PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, with a funeral service to follow at 12PM, with burial at Franklin Hills Memory Garden. Family invites friends to join them at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1623 Brice Road, to share a meal in remembrance of James.
