James (Jim) Russell Krier, 80, of Granville, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born July 21, 1941, in Zanesville to the late John and Mary (Godfrey) Krier.
Jim grew up in Philo, Ohio and is an Ohio University graduate in Industrial Engineering. He worked in Industrial Management through most of his career. He was also a mechanic and over-the-road driver after he retired. Jim loved cars and trucks whether it was working on them, going to car shows, or driving throughout the United States. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, shooting, fishing, camping and hanging out in his garage. He was very mechanical and liked to tinker with and fix things. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Stacy) Krier and Jim (Lesley) Krier Jr.; grandsons, Benjamin (Shannon) Krier and Nathan Krier; sister, Kay Swickard; brother-in-law, Ron Hawk; sister-in-law, Fay Krier; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Joyce Hawk; and brother, Phillip Krier.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 5-7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM.
