Kay Frances Moore, 76 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on February 26, 2023, at Willow Haven nursing home in Zanesville, Ohio.
She was born on July 26, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Issac Canter and Stella (Madinger) Canter. Kay was a long time cook for the Zanesville City schools.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Duane Moore; children, Larry (Kelly) Moore, Brenda Hope, Troy Moore; brothers, Tom Canter; sisters, Gloria Denney, Verna Lee; grandchildren, JR (Marka) Moore, Justin (Amanda) Moore, Josh (Kayla) Hope, Jennifer (Tyler) Perdue, Jeremy (Bailey) Moore; 8 great-grandchildren; special friend, Judy Morrison; and special dog, Bella.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Canter, Ed Canter; and sister, Joy Marsh.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday March 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with Tom Canter officiating services. Burial will follow services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
