Martha J. Myers

Martha J. Myers, 96, of Southwest Greensburg, died Saturday, August 14, 2021, in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born February 16, 1925, in Pleasant Valley, a daughter of the late Raymond and Arena (Grimes) Edwards. She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Southwest Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Myers; her daughter, Sandy Chappell; five brothers, Raymond, Harold, Paul, Galen, and Melvin Edwards; and two sisters, Irva Lindsay and Lorena Hines. She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Teacher (Kenneth), of Greensburg, Donna Nicol (David), of Monroeville, and Debbie Frisch (James), of Scottdale; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Jurkovic, Brett Teacher, Richard Nicol, Todd Teacher, Jamie Frisch, Kevin Nicol, and Kristen Slezak; 14 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Sara, Tom, John, Nate, Colin, Mamie, Lucy, Jo, Luke, Jack, Dean, Blake, and David; her sister, Doris “Faye” Houseman, of Smithton; and several nieces and nephews. A private family visitation and funeral service was held at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Private interment took place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
