Rebecca A. Ross

We sadly announce the passing of our cherished sister, aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin and friend on January 26,2022 in the home of her sister after battling diabetes, kidney failure and cancer. Rebecca Ann Ross was born June 1,1955 the daughter of Frank Marion and Mary Magdalene Sweitzer Ross in Keyser, Mineral, West Virginia. She joined her older sisters, (Mary Elizabeth) Libby and Joan while living in Franklin, Maryland. She spent her early years in Vale Summit, Maryland and attended Midland Elementary; graduating from Valley High School class of 1973. A year after graduation she moved to Utah and was employed for over 40 years as an underwriter for Equitable & Casualty Insurance Co. in Salt Lake City where she made many, many lasting friendships.

Becky loved traveling, being with her family in the east and west; being a second mom to all her nieces and nephews as well as an honorary grandmother to her great nieces and nephews. She had a gift for laughter!! She could brighten up any room with her red hair and cheery smile. She was so easy to tease!!! The world has truly lost a ray of sunshine with her passing.

Becky leaves behind a sister, Joan (Paul) Christiansen of Grantsville, Utah; two brothers, Tom (Bonnie) Ross and Donnie (Meg) Ross of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Libby, nephew Todd Christiansen, multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11:00 at the LDS Stake Center on 1631 East 900 North, Lehi, Utah. Family Viewing will be from 10:30-11:00 with Public Viewing from 11:00-11:45, the funeral will take place at 12:00.

A graveside service is scheduled at a later date where she will be interred with her parents at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, Cash Valley Road, LaVale, Allegany, Maryland.
