Ronald O. Pyle

Ronald O. Pyle, 80 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Altercare in Zanesville and under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Ron was born in Zanesville on June 8, 1942. He is the son of Willis R. and Nancy J. (Lyons) Pyle. He started his working career at Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl, and then worked for Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he worked in the kitchen and met the love of his life, and future wife, Judy. He worked for many years for Genesis Hospital, Gene’s Ice Cream and also for United Technologies, where he retired from in 2000. He enjoyed taking his 1953 Kaiser to area car shows and he was a member of the Kaiser Frazier Car Club. He previously attended the Euclid Avenue United Methodist Church and he served his country in the US Army.

Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Ann (Barker) Pyle; his son, Ronald “Junior” Pyle of Zanesville; his daughter, Kati (Clay) Hooper; his granddaughter, Ella Hooper.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Donald Pyle, Harry Pyle, Bernard Pyle, LeRoy Pyle, Virgil Pyle, Isabelle Foraker, and Katherine Morrison.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm at the Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Cooper will officiate the service. Ron will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors provided by George Selsam VFW Post # 1058 and the US Army Color Guard.
