Shirley “Skip” M. Clark, 84 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022 at Clay Gardens Place of Zanesville.
She was born on September 4, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Reynold Wilson and Pearl Mahaffey Wilson.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Mandy) Clark, Tom (Michelle) McPeck, Mike McPeck, Terry McPeck; step-daughter, Toni Hughes; grandchildren, Courtney (Michael) Silverthorne, Sean Kelly, Allison (Michael) Shonebarger, Andy (Tasha) McPeck, Devin Clark, Shelley Clark, Mason (Tomara) Clark, Samantha (Kyle) Burke, Stacy Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Austin Gunnels, Dustin Gunnels; great-grandchildren, Hayley McPeck, Lillian McPeck, Landon Lively, Lauren McPeck, Cooper Clark, Ryleigh Davis, Hunter Silverthorne, Archer Silverthorne; son-in-law, Dennis Kelly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Duane “Sam” Clark; daughter, Shelly Kelly; step-son, Jerry Clark; brother, John Wilson; sisters, Isabella Stotts, Katherine Acton, Lucille Gibson, Frances Bronkar, Dorothy Lee.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Zanesville Memorial Park with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating.
The Clark family would like to sincerely thank Clay Gardens Place and Shriver’s Hospice for treating her like her second family and for the care she was given.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter in honor of Shirley.
DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home is assisting the Clark family with arrangements.
